Pizza slice PPDS label example
A pizza slice wrapped before sale contains wheat and milk at a minimum. Toppings change the rest: pepperoni often contains milk and sulphites, pesto adds more milk, and a vegan cheese is often soya.

Ingredients (teaching narrative)
Wheat flour, tomato, mozzarella (milk), pepperoni (milk, sulphites), olive oil, yeast.
- Wheat — base
- Milk — mozzarella and often the pepperoni
- Sulphites — cured meat, if present
What this teaches
A Margherita and a pepperoni slice do not share one label if the meat brings extra allergens.
Is this PPDS?
Slices boxed or bagged before the customer chooses them are PPDS. A slice cut from a pie and served immediately in a restaurant may not be.
