A fish finger sandwich packed before sale contains fish and wheat from the coating, wheat again from the bread, and egg and mustard if you add sauce. The fish species should be clear enough for the customer.

What this teaches

A gluten-free fish finger exists. An ordinary one in gluten-free bread is still wheat because of the coating.

Is this PPDS?

Sandwiches sealed before they go on sale are PPDS. One built at the pass to order is not.

Questions

Do I name the fish?

Yes. Say the fish clearly in the ingredients, and emphasise fish.

Is tartare the same as mayonnaise?

Tartare is usually mayonnaise plus gherkin and capers. Expect egg, mustard and sometimes sulphites.
