The label
Ingredients (teaching narrative)
Oats, yoghurt (milk), apple, apple juice (sulphites), honey, almonds.
- Oats — cereals containing gluten
- Milk — yoghurt
- Almonds — if used
- Sulphites — juice, when at or above 10 mg/kg
What this teaches
Soaking oats in apple juice instead of yoghurt drops milk and may leave sulphites. Gluten-free oats are a different ingredient from standard oats.
Is this PPDS?
Breakfast pots packed before the customer chooses one are PPDS.
Questions
Are oats gluten-free?
Standard oats are a cereal containing gluten. Only gluten-free oats support that claim, and only if the rest of the pot does too.
Is honey an allergen?
Honey is not one of the 14. You still list it. It is not suitable for a vegan claim.
